Position Overview:
The Pastry and Coffee Specialist is responsible for crafting delightful coffee beverages and baked goods while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role involves preparing, packaging, and presenting a variety of bakery items with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Customer Engagement:**
- Interact with customers in a warm and inviting manner, providing product information and assistance in locating items.
- Strive to exceed customer expectations and enhance their shopping experience.
2. **Bakery Operations:**
- Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages according to established standards.
- Stock, label, and display bakery products attractively, highlighting seasonal and unique offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
3. **Team Collaboration:**
- Work cooperatively with team members, sharing ideas and feedback to foster a positive work environment.
- Adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed to meet departmental goals.
4. **Product Management:**
- Monitor product quality and freshness, rotating stock and handling damaged items according to company policy.
- Assist in receiving and unloading merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory management.
Qualifications:
- A friendly demeanor with a passion for customer service and food.
- Previous experience in customer service or food retail is preferred.
- Basic math skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Work in a grocery store environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and surfaces.
