About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. in Toluca, Illinois. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous performance of key equipment within our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain all industrial equipment within the facility to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Perform troubleshooting and necessary repairs on malfunctioning machines to minimize downtime
  • Contribute to the efficiency of the production line through regular maintenance and upkeep
  • Use advanced knowledge in PLC troubleshooting to identify and correct issues
  • Carry out electrical maintenance tasks, specifically dealing with low voltage and 480v 3 phase power
  • Weld and fabricate equipment within a food manufacturing plant
  • Conduct regular maintenance on all processing and packaging equipment
  • Promptly and effectively respond to any issues or breakdowns in the plant's food manufacturing equipment and facility utilities
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 3 years of experience in maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting; knowledge of PLC programming is a plus
  • Capability to handle electrical maintenance tasks, specifically dealing with low voltage and 480v 3 phase power on industrial equipment
  • Experience in food manufacturing is preferred
  • Ability to conduct regular maintenance of industrial equipment
  • Proficiency in identifying and repairing malfunctions to prevent equipment downtime
  • Readiness to work in shifts
