Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team at Software Guidance and Assistance, Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience in software testing and automation, with a strong background in Java and JavaScript.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automation scripts for web applications and web services using approved tools.
  • Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing.
  • Evaluate software performance and current test methodologies, recommending process improvements.
  • Manage defects and collaborate with development staff to resolve issues.
  • Plan and estimate testing efforts in collaboration with project teams.

Requirements:

  • Relevant automated testing tools experience (3-5 years).
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent significant experience in information technology and software testing.
  • Strong proficiency in using Java/JS testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Karate, and Playwright using Cucumber/BDD.
  • Knowledge of test automation architecture POM or similar design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience in writing modular, maintainable code bases.
  • Familiarity with source control like Git and build/maintain CI pipelines like GitLab.
  • Hands-on experience in data validation and testing using advanced SQL.
  • Self-sufficient in using Linux environments and AWS cloud basics.
  • Hands-on experience in API testing using frameworks like Rest Assured and Postman.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of tools and practices for cross-browser testing, visual, and performance testing.
