Job Overview
Oncology Consultants, a premier adult medical oncology & hematology practice in Houston, TX, seeks a Medical Oncology Specialist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide state-of-the-art cancer treatment in a caring environment, making a difference in the lives of our patients.

About the Position
Promote and maintain the health of patients across the healthcare continuum, conducting comprehensive health assessments, identifying normal/abnormal health characteristics, developing treatment plans, initiating appropriate care, and continuously evaluating care outcomes according to established standards and practices. Use your judgment to work autonomously or collaborate with the healthcare team to manage patient care throughout the continuum of care and in various settings.

Responsibilities
* Conducts comprehensive health assessments to identify normal/abnormal health characteristics
* Develops treatment plans, initiates appropriate care, and evaluates care outcomes
* Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients
* Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to the Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards

Benefits

Requirements
* Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field
* Minimum two years of clinical nursing plus two years of nurse practitioner experience
* Acute Care certification required
* Must be currently licensed as a registered nurse
