Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Pain Management Specialist

Albany Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Department of Anesthesiology. As a Pain Management Specialist, you will be responsible for the daily management of an inpatient acute pain service at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform inpatient consultations and coordinate between interdisciplinary services and providers.
  • Develop and implement customized individual analgesic regimens for complex patients with multiple co-morbidities.
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy, principles of neurology, microbiology, physiology, psychology, and pharmacology to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Conduct patient assessments, complete physical examinations, and order medical laboratory tests as needed.
  • Administer medications and treatments, and perform minor surgery as required.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
