Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Optician to join our team at LensCrafters. As a Licensed Optician, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality eyewear.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage with customers, setting clear expectations and providing personalized service.
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing expert advice and guidance to customers and colleagues alike.
  • Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear to meet customer needs and standards.
  • Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Utilize technology effectively, managing time pressure and customer volume while maintaining exceptional product knowledge and tool usage.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
  • Multi-task and prioritize tasks, managing time effectively and achieving exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies.
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized store environment, taking pride in store appearance and adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Identify and report safety opportunities, demonstrating safe work practices and adhering to company policies.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • State licensure as a Licensed Optician.
  • Optical dispensing experience.
  • Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and team building.
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise and awareness of current fashion trends.
  • Strong basic math skills and familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
  • Ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet and sell skills.
  • Embracing new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous customer service and retail experience.
