Job Description

Petco is a leading health and wellness company dedicated to improving the lives of pets, pet parents, and our partners. We are seeking a highly motivated and animal-loving individual to join our team as a Sales Solutions Generalist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests and helping them find the right products and services for their pets.
  • Assist guests in selecting merchandise and provide solutions for their pet's needs.
  • Process transactions efficiently and effectively, ensuring a great experience for each guest.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our guests and their pets to generate future business opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Pet Care Center team to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work successfully within a team and provide excellent customer service.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, with a genuine interest in animals and their care.
  • Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with the public and other partners and leaders within the store.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in sales, retail, or a related field.
  • High level of knowledge of pet nutrition and sales techniques.
Work Environment:

The majority of job duties are conducted indoors, although merchandise receiving, merchandise carry-outs, or stock balancing will require leaving the store briefly. This position requires bending, kneeling, moving merchandise, and standing for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and pull 2000 lbs utilizing material handling equipment.
