Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Direct Staff: Lead a team of maintenance personnel in performing routine maintenance and repairs on water and wastewater treatment plant equipment.
  • Schedule and Coordinate Work: Plan and schedule maintenance work orders to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: Verify that all maintenance work is performed in accordance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Oversee the inventory of essential parts, materials, and tools to ensure that maintenance personnel have the necessary resources to perform their duties.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with plant management, operations staff, and other stakeholders to address repairs and ongoing issues.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least five (5) years of experience in utility maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, and maintenance of water or wastewater treatment plants.
  • Supervisory Experience: At least two (2) years of supervising personnel.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid Texas Driver License.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards. The employee will be required to exert up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
