Job Opportunity
We are looking for a committed Maintenance Specialist who has a natural inclination for understanding mechanical systems and enjoys problem-solving in a manufacturing environment. As a proactive individual with experience in preventive maintenance software, you will be essential in maintaining the operational efficiency of our facilities.
This full-time role provides opportunities for overtime and operates on a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, commencing at 6:00 am.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks at Caliper and Ripple production facilities.
- Oversee and comply with maintenance budget requirements.
- Utilize an electronic maintenance management system for scheduling and documenting preventive maintenance activities.
- Establish new preventive maintenance protocols for both new and existing equipment.
- Assist R&D and Process Implementation teams with equipment setup.
- Create systems and standard operating procedures for straightforward maintenance tasks.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment.
- Engage in maintenance activities on the manufacturing floor (80%) alongside administrative responsibilities (20%).
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including PLC, VFD controllers, and electrical components.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Strong communication and computer skills for effective maintenance management.
- Physical capability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
- Must be at least 21 years old and possess a current MED Badge or be eligible to obtain one.
- Experience in food manufacturing, sanitary welding, HVAC, or refrigeration is advantageous.
