Rental Shop Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Rental Shop Technician to join our team at Cooper Hill Ski Area, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience with our rental equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Properly outfit guests with rental gear for skiing or snowboarding
  • Become certified to properly set up rental ski bindings for guest use
  • Perform routine maintenance on our rental equipment fleet
  • Test rental fleet equipment to ensure industry standards as directed by management
  • Learn to tune Snowsports equipment and perform tuning on rental fleet as well as personal equipment
  • Oversee and put away all returned rental equipment at the end of the day
  • Spray returned boots with boot-fresh
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the rental shop by sweeping/mopping floors and cleaning the bathroom at least once per week
  • Aid the Facilities Department by keeping Rental Shop entrances clear of snow/ice
  • Work overnight storage trailer when asked to do so
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Ability to take direction and perform duties efficiently
  • Ability to communicate clearly and politely with guests
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • A professional, positive, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Good interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:

The Rental Shop Technician position is based primarily inside, but may also be outside exposed to temperature extremes, sun and wind exposure, inclement weather, and high altitudes.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend even/uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend stairs, stand and/or sit for long periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift objects that may be heavy.

Seasonal Status:

This Position is a seasonal position with an expected season of early December through early-mid April. Employment in subsequent seasons is not guaranteed.
