Job Title: Machinist

Job Summary:

• Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain various types of milling machines, including plain, universal, horizontal, and vertical machines, to perform precision machining operations.
  • Select, mount, and align specialized machine attachments and tooling, and plan the sequence of operations to achieve exacting tolerances.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine the required machining operations and set up the machines accordingly.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and machinist's hand tools to measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on stock for machining.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control procedures.
• Requirements:
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
  • Knowledge of precision machining operations and the ability to set up and operate various types of milling machines.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and machinist's hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
