We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at 124 Advocate Condell Medical Center. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities- Position patients and immobilize them to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
- Select and operate MRI protocols to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
- Secure patient history and provide radiologists with necessary information for exam interpretation.
- Comply with established safety standards to ensure patient and staff well-being.
- Maintain medical supplies and inventory to meet procedure volume.
- Stay up-to-date with current MRI protocols and emerging technologies.
- Provide instruction and assistance to staff and students as needed.
- Graduate of a 2-year Radiology or MRI program with ARRT or ARMRIT certification.
- Completion of a formalized MRI course at a junior college level or above.
- Ability to recognize patient needs and behaviors across various age groups.
- Basic knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI/MRA clinical protocols.
- Knowledge of MRI physics and safety.
- MRI Board eligibility and CPR certification.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.
- Flexibility in hours worked and willingness to work overtime as needed.
