Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Temple University Hospital. As a Traveling Pharmacist, you will be responsible for reviewing medication orders, dispensing medications, and ensuring the accuracy and safety of the medication use process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify medication orders from physicians and physician extenders
  • Dispense medications in accordance with established protocols and procedures
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient allergies, past medical history, and lab information to identify potential clinical conflicts
  • Manage inventory and maintain accurate records
  • Provide drug information support to healthcare team members
  • Oversee the work of pharmacy students and technicians to ensure accuracy and safety in the medication use process
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan for continuum of care and discharge planning
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
  • Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
  • At least one year of experience working in a hospital or advanced pharmacy practice experience (APPE) in a clinical setting
Work Schedule

This is a part-time position with rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
