Avera is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care in the residential hospice setting.
The LPN will be responsible for administering medications, preparing meals, and performing daily personal cares as designated by the Case Management RN.
The nurse will interact with patients and their families in a compassionate and respectful manner, understanding the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient and family.
The LPN will assume responsibility for the outcome of nursing care provided to patients in their homes or in facilities.
The nurse will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- Minimum six months experience preferred
- Current practical nurse licensure from the state of Minnesota
- CPR certification or must be obtained within 1 week of hire
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
