Overview:

Position Summary:
The Warehouse Product Receiver is responsible for the reception and storage of products and materials. This role involves the safe operation of material handling equipment and the accurate completion of all necessary documentation. A clean work environment is maintained in accordance with company standards.

Work Schedule:
Evening shifts with a requirement to work weekends and holidays.

Compensation:
$2,000 Sign-on Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  • Under the guidance of the operations supervisor, conduct visual inspections of incoming and outgoing warehouse products to assess their suitability for shipment or receipt. Interpret labels and documentation associated with product containers. Accurately count and verify the quantity of received shipments. Regularly lift, carry, and position products onto pallets, into trailers, or designated storage areas, in both temperature-controlled and non-controlled environments. Operate forklifts or pallet jacks safely, utilizing full peripheral vision to avoid accidents.
  • Maintain calibrated thermometers and perform routine calibration checks as per established procedures. Ensure the rotation of received products to adhere to the First In – First Out method during selection. Document all code dates to uphold quality standards. Retrieve products from racks as necessary, ensuring proper rotation and consolidation of pallets within the warehouse.
  • Ensure all cases in the warehouse are properly palletized and located in their designated slots; return any misplaced products to their correct locations.
  • Assist Inventory Control Coordinators with item counts as required. Uphold cleanliness standards by utilizing brooms, mops, and other cleaning supplies to maintain the work area. Complete any additional tasks as assigned.

  • Handling: Continuous - more than 66% of the time
  • Lifting: Regularly lift under 10 lbs and 10-25 lbs; frequently lift 26-50 lbs
  • Pushing/Pulling: Occasional - less than 34% of the time with a maximum force of 50 lbs
  • Walking/Standing: Continuous - more than 66% of the time
  • Sitting: Occasional - less than 34% of the time
  • Bending: Frequently - 34% - 66% of the time
  • Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: Occasional - less than 34% of the time
  • Twisting: Continuous - more than 66% of the time
  • Balance/Reaching: Frequently - 34% - 66% of the time
  • Coordination: Required for both upper and lower extremities
  • Ability to work in a cold environment and adapt to temperature changes

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Must possess a valid forklift operator license with a minimum of six months of safe operation experience. Ability to perform accurate visual inspections and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly. Basic reading and math skills are essential. Physically capable of standing, walking, and twisting while carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
