Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic tests on blood, tissue, and other body fluids, including chemical, hematological, microbiological, and immunological tests.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring all devices are properly calibrated and functioning.
  • Analyze test results and provide accurate and timely data to healthcare providers for patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Conduct routine quality control and proficiency testing to maintain high standards of lab results.
  • Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, and analysis, ensuring the integrity of the samples.
  • Record and document test results accurately in the laboratory information system (LIS).
  • Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to provide test interpretations and assist with medical inquiries.
  • Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines, including biohazard protocols.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by a recognized agency such as ASCP or AMT.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, testing methodologies, and equipment.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory information systems (LIS) and basic computer skills.
