Job Summary

This is a 7 on 7 off position with a unique shift schedule. The role involves working 72 hours over 7 days, paid for 80 hours. The schedule includes four 9-hour shifts and three 12-hour shifts per week, with mixed shifts.

Department and Shift Timings

The position is part of the Computerized Tomography department, with shift timings from 07:00 to 19:00 on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, totaling 36 hours per week.

Vacation Rotation and Holidays

The employee will work any holidays that fall within their normal work days and will not be required to work call shifts.

Responsibilities and Requirements

The CT Technologist will be responsible for:

  • Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
  • Positioning patients appropriately to scan specific areas of their bodies.
  • Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
  • Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure patient safety.
  • Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions.
  • Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
  • Evaluating CT scans to determine their technical quality.
  • Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required.

Minimum Qualifications and Certifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 1-3 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
