Millwright Mechanic

PBF Energy is seeking a skilled Millwright Mechanic to join our team at our Martinez Refinery in California. As a pivotal member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of process equipment and machinery, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

• Maintain, repair, and overhaul process rotating machinery in a safe and efficient manner in both a shop and field environment.
• Operate various shop support equipment, including saws, forklifts, overhead cranes, hydraulic presses, bearing heaters, and torches.
• Interpret tolerances and dimensions from drawings, sketches, and engineering documents.
• Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, protractors, and indicators.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience as a Millwright or Mechanical Maintenance Specialist.
• Possess one of the following certifications: Union or Company Apprenticeship, Trade School, or Journeyman level Machinist.
• Previous experience in a refinery or chemical plant environment is preferred.

• Work at heights.
• Work in compact and confined spaces.
• Work outside in inclement weather.
• Work while wearing a respirator, Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR), or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
• Work in areas requiring hearing protection.
