Job Summary

Mid-City OB-GYN, P.C. is seeking a skilled OB-GYN Telephone Triage Nurse to join our team. As a Telephone Triage Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care via telephone triage, working collaboratively with our healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage Patient Health Care Needs: Assess patient health care needs via telephone, utilizing your expertise to determine the best course of action for each patient.
  • Provide Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on procedures, treatments, test results, and other health-related information, ensuring they are well-informed and empowered to manage their health.
  • Collaborate with Providers: Work closely with our healthcare providers to deliver patient care via telephone triage, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Ensure Calm and Professional Communication: Maintain calm and professional communication with patients, even in stressful situations, providing a positive and reassuring experience.
  • Utilize Intermediate-Level Computer Skills: Utilize intermediate-level computer skills for documentation and communication, ensuring accurate and efficient data entry and communication.
Qualifications
  • Valid State of Nebraska Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License: Possess a valid LPN license in the state of Nebraska.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: Hold current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Minimum of 2 Years of OB-GYN Experience: Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in OB-GYN, with a strong understanding of patient care and triage protocols.
  • Excellent Verbal and Interpersonal Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Strong Customer Service Skills: Possess strong customer service skills, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and satisfaction.
  • Ability to Remain Calm in Stressful Situations: Demonstrate the ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations, providing a positive and reassuring experience for patients.
  • Experience with Client Interaction over the Telephone: Possess experience with client interaction over the telephone, with a strong understanding of effective communication and triage protocols.
