Position Overview: We are in search of enthusiastic educators who specialize in tutoring advanced mathematics courses. Expertise in subjects such as Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and/or Calculus is essential. The capability to tutor for standardized tests like the SAT/ACT is an added advantage, though not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guiding and supporting students to achieve their academic objectives
- Effectively tutoring multiple subjects
- Enhancing students' study techniques and identifying their unique learning styles
- Inspiring students who require additional motivation
- Working with up to three students simultaneously
- Exhibiting engagement, adaptability, and professionalism
- Maintaining detailed records of tutoring sessions
- Participating in team meetings and other Tutoring Club events
Tutoring Club instructors are dedicated to their students' success in academics. They possess a love for teaching and a passion for learning; they are energetic, enthusiastic, highly skilled, motivated, professional, outgoing, patient, creative, dependable, and versatile. Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or currently enrolled in a degree program leading to a bachelor's degree)
- 1+ years of prior tutoring experience (previous teaching experience is not mandatory, but is a plus)
- Reliable transportation
- Availability to work SOME of the following: Monday through Thursday from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm and Saturday from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm
- Commitment to a one-year tenure with Tutoring Club

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
