Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

At DHR Health, we are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and supporting the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse, the CNA will assist with direct patient care, including activities of daily living, vital sign monitoring, and documentation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with direct patient care, including activities of daily living, vital sign monitoring, and documentation.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery.
  • Document patient care activities and vital signs in the electronic medical record.
  • Assist with department admissions and orienting patients to room and unit procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients.
  • Perform bedside shift report and frequent rounding per hospital policy.
  • Support nursing staff during acute and emergency situations.
Requirements:
  • Graduated from an accredited Certified Nurse Assistant program.
  • Active Texas CNA certification or Patient Care Tech certification.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration, and physicians.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of continuous experience as a CNA.
  • Ability to adjust and/or troubleshoot monitoring equipment.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Proficiency in organizational and computer skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
