The Position: Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist provides physician-prescribed physical therapy to improve or minimize residual physical disabilities of the patient. They maintain ongoing communication with physicians, healthcare teams, and other individuals as needed regarding aspects of care and patient status. They help develop the plan of care and revise as necessary. They communicate with American Therapy Services as needed regarding issues related to rehabilitation services and indicated patient care.

Position Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience, preferred
  • Licensed by the State of New York as a Physical Therapist
  • Graduate from a physical therapist curriculum approved by one of the following: The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) or successor organizations of CAPTE
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment
