About the Job

This 13-week opportunity offers a unique chance to work with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals and gain valuable experience in electrophysiology procedures. As an Electrophysiology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including electrophysiology studies, catheter ablations, and pacemaker insertions.

Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation:
    • Ensure all necessary equipment is sterile, functioning, and ready for procedures.
    • Verify patient information, review medical history, and complete necessary documentation.
    • Assist patients in preparing for procedures and explain the process.
  • Assisting During Electrophysiology Procedures:
    • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
    • Handle and operate specialized equipment, such as 3D mapping systems and electrophysiology catheters.
    • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities.
  • Post-Procedure Care and Monitoring:
    • Monitor patients post-procedure for complications and provide instructions on care.
    • Assist in the transfer of patients to recovery or the appropriate unit.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
    • Ensure proper calibration, operation, and maintenance of electrophysiology equipment.
    • Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during procedures.
  • Collaboration with Medical Team:
    • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Current certification as an Electrophysiology Technologist (EP-T).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in electrophysiology procedures.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $95,000 per year, based on 36 hours of work per week and a tax-free stipend amount. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
