Dishwasher Position

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Ringgold Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LLC. As a Dishwasher, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare patient trays according to instructions and orders, ensuring that all food is handled and presented in a safe and appealing manner.

2. Assist in the preparation and portioning of meal items according to menu and dietary requirements, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.

3. Employ proper food handling techniques at all times, whether in preparation, setting up, or serving trays, to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a clean and safe environment.

4. Clean, wash, and sanitize dishes, flatware, and utensils used to serve patients and others, adhering to established cleaning schedules and protocols.

5. Assist in maintaining the general cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including the dishwashing machine, sinks, and surrounding areas.

6. Clean work areas and equipment as assigned, ensuring that all areas are clean and free of clutter.

7. Put up stock in food storage areas and refrigerators as assigned, ensuring that all food is stored properly and within expiration dates.

8. Deliver food, nourishments, and supplies to Nursing Units and other areas as assigned, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that all deliveries are made in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements:

1. Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, with sufficient knowledge and education to perform job functions.

2. Experience in a Dietary Department, large volume food preparation, and service is preferred, but not required.

3. Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with other staff members, referral sources, residents, their families, and physicians, both verbally and in writing.

4. Has no findings of resident abuse, mistreatment, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property listed on the registry.

5. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
