About the Role

Nucor Corporation is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team at our Auburn, NY facility. As an Electrical Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and automation systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide electrical support to production crews, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and automation systems.
  • Work with automation and networking equipment, including PID/closed loop control systems, networking tools and standards, and HMI programming and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of electrical principles and practices, including safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Two-year degree in electrical engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three years of industrial electrical experience, with a focus on automation and networking systems.
  • Knowledge of overhead crane systems and repair experience.
  • Basic pneumatic and hydraulic system knowledge.
