Teaching Opportunity at Tallahassee State College

Tallahassee State College is a dynamic and growing comprehensive State college located in Tallahassee, Florida. We are seeking a qualified Philosophy Faculty member to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Philosophy courses on our Main Campus in Tallahassee, Florida.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with college policies and procedures.
  • Support student retention, success, and completion.
  • Commit to development and assessment of student learning.
  • Use technology and innovative approaches to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Work in a participatory and collegial setting.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Philosophy or a related/applied subfield.
  • At least 18 graduate semester hours in Philosophy or a related/applied subfield.
  • Commitment to student retention, success, and completion.
  • Commitment to development and assessment of student learning.
  • Ability to work in a participatory and collegial setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in teaching Philosophy courses.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation.
  • Ability to work with a multicultural population of learners.
