We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Core Dermatology. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting medical professionals in various aspects of patient management, procedure assistance, and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for physical exams and assist providers in conducting exams.
- Take patient histories and document pertinent information related to the patient's visit and previous medical history and drug allergies.
- Set up examine rooms daily for appropriate medical and surgical procedures.
- Maintain a well-organized patient flow through hallway examine rooms.
- Perform laboratory tests, including specimen collection, preparation of lab requisition forms, and logging.
- Assist with biopsy procedures, including preparation of requisition and logging.
- Report all lab findings to physicians.
- Schedule patients for diagnostic lab procedures done outside the office facility.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant accredited program required; CMA Certification preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical terminology.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals.
