Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review certification applications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare written requests for clarifications to applicants based on review and analysis of the application and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person interviews of applicants, as well as site visits, as necessary.
  • Ascertain application's eligibility for certification.
  • Prepare checklists and final reports focusing on issues of ownership, operational and managerial control, and develop conclusions relative to applicant eligibility for MWBE status.

Requirements:

  • Six years of experience in contract compliance, affirmative action, or minority and women's business enterprises.
  • Experience in planning, developing, implementing, and reviewing programs dealing with minority business enterprise, affirmative action, minority and women's business program coordination, affirmative action compliance review, or labor relations directly relating to affirmative action.
  • Substitution: An associate degree in business, computer science, marketing, math, finance, accounting, economics, public administration, public policy, or a related field may substitute for two years of experience. A bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for four years of experience. A J.D. or master's degree in a related field may substitute for one additional year of experience.
