Position Overview
As a dedicated nursing professional, you will deliver essential healthcare services to patients within a clinical setting.

Role Responsibilities

LOCATION: Lancaster, PA

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week); Monday-Friday; 8:30am-5pm; no weekends; no holidays

Sign-on Bonus: $2500 (subject to pre-established criteria)

KEY DUTIES: The successful candidate will possess the capability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following tasks:
  • Deliver clinical guidance via phone or electronic communication, utilizing clinical judgment and triage protocols in alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Provide patient-specific education on preventive care, chronic disease management, acute diagnoses, medications, and other relevant health topics.
  • Prepare patients for consultations using established rooming standards.
  • Administer injections and medications as directed by the healthcare provider, adhering to departmental protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Assist healthcare providers with various procedures, minor surgeries, and examinations as designated.
  • Authorize prescription refills as per provider instructions.
  • Support test tracking and monitor overdue results.
  • Perform suture removal and dressing changes as necessary.
  • Ensure examination rooms are adequately stocked and sanitized after each patient visit, maintaining and cleaning medical instruments and equipment post-procedure.
  • Collaborate with providers and patients to review and update care plans, assessing patient progress and following up as needed.
  • Engage in proactive outreach for patients requiring preventive and chronic disease services.
  • Facilitate care coordination among specialists and transitions of care to gather all necessary patient information.
  • Assist in coordinating referrals, education, and community resources.
  • Actively participate in performance improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient experience and care quality.
  • Engage in daily huddles with the healthcare provider.
  • Serve as an advocate for patient experience, maintaining professionalism and prioritizing customer service in all interactions.
  • Handle all patient information confidentially, in accordance with privacy policies and procedures.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The following tasks are considered secondary to the primary responsibilities:
  • Perform various administrative duties as needed.
  • Regional travel may be required; a valid driver's license is necessary if traveling.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) educational program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) issued by the PA State Board of Nursing.
  • AHA CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • One to two years of nursing experience in a primary or specialty care setting.
  • Prior experience in triage, emergency room, cardiac care, intensive care, or other related nursing specialties.
