As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Supervise, teach, and delegate to other personnel in the performance of activities related to nursing care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and report patient condition to the healthcare team, including vital signs, lab results, and other relevant information.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky or a current Registered Nurse licensure with a multistate compact status.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (or obtained within 90 days after hire date).
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS Certification (or obtained within 6 months after hire date).
  • Current American Heart Association PALS Certification (or obtained within 6 months after hire date).
  • NIHSS Certification obtained within 90 days after hire date.
  • Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Language Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
