We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Women's Float Pool RN to join our healthcare team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our interdependent team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients in Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, and NICU units.
Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, and NICU units.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to protect, promote, and optimize health and ability, prevent illness and injury, alleviate suffering, and advocate for patients.
- Exhibit knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patient.
- Contribute to the practice of nursing through participation in Shared Governance, attendance at unit meetings, completion of surveys, and sharing of ideas through informal and formal channels of communication.
- Care for both postpartum mothers and their newborns, administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required.
- At least 3 years experience in Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, and/or NICU.
