Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Dietitian Specialist to join our Nutrition Team in a dynamic and customer-focused environment.

About the Role:

  • Provide expert nutrition services in a specialty area, such as NICU, bariatric, renal, cardiac, diabetes, nutrition support, pediatrics, oncology, transplant, geriatrics, and outpatient services.
  • Assess the nutritional status of patients/residents through thorough documentation in the medical record.
  • Train and mentor patient/resident services staff and interns as applicable.
  • Foster teamwork and develop effective strategies to implement innovative programs that lead to optimal clinical nutrition and financial outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies, while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient/resident rights policies.
  • Participate in patient/resident satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.

Requirements:

  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board, in states where required.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the area of specialty required.
  • Specialty certification when applicable.
  • Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming.
