Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure the shop meets Company objectives for Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
  • Develop and assess project timelines and budgets during the initial planning stages.
  • Allocate personnel and resources effectively to support all contracts and work items.
  • Monitor schedule adherence, including the review of ongoing projects and the development of practical solutions for any delays.
  • Evaluate project budget performance, focusing on productivity improvements and addressing any over-budget concerns.
  • Assess productivity across shifts, ensuring the quality and quantity of work meets expectations.
  • Conduct personnel management tasks, including supervision, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure all employees are informed of and comply with Company policies.
  • Provide training and motivation to employees in technical skills, safety protocols, and effective communication.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to interpret NAVSEA standard items.
  • Proven technical expertise in the relevant trade.
  • Demonstrated capability to plan, schedule, supervise, and direct the work of others in the industry.
  • Strong decision-making skills regarding operations and personnel matters.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and similar software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to obtain necessary access credentials for military facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in interpreting and applying technical publications and military standards relevant to pipe fabrication and machinery repair.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in ship repair operations.
Compensation and Benefits
Full-Time Salary Range: $125,062
