We are seeking a skilled Hyperbaric Technician to join our team at BJC HealthCare. As a Hyperbaric Technician, you will be responsible for administering hyperbaric oxygen therapy and diagnostic testing to patients.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain the hyperbaric equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement physician treatment orders and verify patient diagnoses for hyperbaric oxygen therapy through consultation with the hyperbaric physician and review of supporting documentation.
- Inform patients and families about the benefits, risks, contraindications, and safety issues of hyperbaric oxygen therapy before their first treatment.
- Comply with safety drills, smoke hood training, and quality improvement activities as required.
- Perform transcutaneous oxygen monitoring testing as ordered and per departmental policy.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or equivalent.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Certified Hyperbaric Technician (CHT) certification.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and legal services.
