Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Supervisor to join our team at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily workflow for the special procedure area, assigning and supervising daily work flow, and orienting new technologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assigns and supervises daily work flow in areas assigned.
  • Assigns and modifies daily job assignments of staff.
  • Orients new technologists.
  • Orders supplies and stock for imaging departments.
  • Performs quality control as needed.
  • Remains mentally alert and maintains concentration with attention to detail for prolonged periods, at times under stress.
  • Maintains adaptability, flexibility, initiative, persistence, and efficiency of time management and action.
  • Does not pose a direct threat to health or safety of self or others.
  • Provides safe, efficient, competent care to population assigned.
  • Meets MMC Environment of Care Standards.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Completes required education assignments annually.
  • Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
Requirements
  • Must be currently registered as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • If primarily supervising staff in a specialty modality, must have passed an advanced level exam in Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, or Interventional Radiology (ARRT (R) (VI)).
  • Must be currently certified (or scheduled for certification or recertification training according to department guidelines) in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
