Painting Opportunities at Courtyard by Marriott San Francisco Union Square

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Courtyard by Marriott San Francisco Union Square. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the interior and exterior surfaces of our hotel remain visually appealing and well-maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleans and maintains brushes and other tools used in painting jobs
  • Mixes and applies paint stain varnish enamel and other finishes to equipment buildings and/or other structures
  • Inspects walls and determines the number of paint coats required
  • Applies primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces for finish coats
  • Mixes and matches colors of paint stain or varnish with oil and thinning and drying additives
  • Fills nail holes joints and cracks in walls with plaster or other filler
  • Covers surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and removes fixtures prior to painting
  • Calculates amounts of required materials and estimates costs based on surface measurements and work orders

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a high school diploma and 0-5 years of experience
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Manual dexterity
  • Ability to lift/move heavy objects
  • Physical stamina
