Job Title: LPN Long Term Care

Nurses First Solutions is seeking a skilled LPN/LVN to join our team for a travel assignment in a long-term care setting.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate LPN/LVN to provide high-quality patient care in a long-term care facility. As a travel LPN, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients and develop your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor patients for adverse reactions or side effects.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate, and report any significant changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
  • Assist with patient hygiene, such as bathing and dressing, and help patients with activities of daily living.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Educate patients and their families about disease prevention, health promotion, and the management of chronic health conditions.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a current LPN/LVN license and at least 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting. You will also need to be able to work 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week.
