Job Title: Sleep Technician

At Consensus Health, we are seeking a skilled Sleep Technician to join our team. As a Sleep Technician, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders under the general supervision of the Manager, and in collaboration with the Medical Director or designee.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collecting, analyzing, and integrating patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs and determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician or clinical director and laboratory protocols.
  • Performing Polysomnographic Procedures under the direction of the ordering physician.
  • Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a one-year polysomnography program, associated with a State licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility; or a minimum of six months experience as a Polysomnographic Technician with documented proficiencies.
  • Professional Certification by Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) as Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems; requires details, data and facts that must be analyzed and challenged prior to making decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate medical information to professional practitioners and/or the general public.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, follow up, analytical and time management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to provide guidance and training to professional and technical staff in area of expertise.
  • Good interpersonal skills, sense of urgency, being proactive and ownership for one's work.

The employee may need to travel to healthcare practices.
