Job Description:

RN - ONCOLOGY

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Outpatient Nursing Services team at Moab Regional Hospital. As an Oncology/Infusion RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy and infusion therapy
  • Assess patient health status, monitor vital signs, and document patient condition
  • Administer medications and treatments, including chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy infusions
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment options, side effects, and self-care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Current, unencumbered Utah or compact state RN license
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
  • Current ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certificate, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Knowledge of infection control principles, patient safety techniques, and prevention of adverse reactions to medications/treatments
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to maintain same in situations with rapidly changing circumstances
