BI Analysts also educate and guide stakeholders in leveraging data as a strategic analytical resource. They engage with clients to ascertain business needs, set priorities, and define key performance indicators (KPIs). This includes collaborating with business or clinical teams to design and document dashboards, alerts, reports, or applications. The role involves facilitating information collection, structured documentation, and presenting insights effectively. BI Analysts must possess a keen interest in uncovering deeper insights, crafting narratives from data, and influencing decision-making processes. Teamwork is essential in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Develop visual design solutions and user-friendly reports and dashboards utilizing analytics tools to provide insights. Analyze, design, code, configure, test, debug, deploy, document, and maintain reporting assets. Employ suitable methodologies for data collection, analysis, and presentation using fundamental BI reporting tools. Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and develop tailored solutions. Serve as a liaison between business units and report/dashboard developers, articulating reporting needs to meet stakeholder expectations. Exhibit strong organizational and time management capabilities. Partner with senior analysts to ensure ongoing monitoring of processes and services for data accuracy, quality, effectiveness, and efficiency. Support quality improvement initiatives and processes. Conduct job-related duties in accordance with established standards, mentoring less experienced BI Analysts. Provide analytics that transform data into critical insights for understanding systemic business needs. Actively engage in safety initiatives and risk mitigation strategies as appropriate, completing all required safety competencies in a timely manner. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business, liberal arts, computer science, software development, information systems, database management, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
