Position Overview:

The Mixologist reports directly to the Bar Leader.

We are seeking a skilled and energetic beverage specialist with outstanding communication abilities to deliver an exceptional guest drinking experience.

The mixologist will welcome patrons, understand their preferences, respond to inquiries, suggest menu items, and prepare and serve drinks and food.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers, actively listen to their preferences, provide recommendations, and take drink orders.
• Inform patrons about new beverages and special offers.
• Select and combine ingredients, garnish drinks, and serve beverages to guests.
• Verify identification to ensure patrons meet the legal age requirement for alcohol consumption.
• Manage inventory and order supplies to keep the bar and tables adequately stocked.
• Assist guests with the ordering process at the table.
• Comply with all food safety and quality standards.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, ensuring accuracy in charges and providing correct change to customers, while balancing the cash register.
• Maintain a clean working and dining environment by cleaning tables and washing glassware, utensils, and equipment.
• Support inventory management and control.
• Represent the company's values and assets.

Qualifications:

Mixologist Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Additional education, training, certifications, or relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive demeanor, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
• Basic math and computer proficiency.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and knowledge of drink mixing techniques and tools.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, etc., for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Relevant alcohol certification (Yorkville operator license).
