Position Overview

Broda Machine Company is actively seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of Lead Swiss CNC Machinist within our advanced manufacturing facility. This position involves overseeing a cell of five Swiss CNC machines, ensuring optimal operation and production of precision machined components.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Operate and manage Swiss CNC lathes, including programming, setup, and operation with minimal supervision.

2) Uphold quality and safety standards while ensuring all necessary tooling and supplies are available for production.

3) Mentor and train junior machinists in various operational aspects, fostering a collaborative work environment.

4) Conduct advanced setups, including program writing and editing, while selecting appropriate tooling for each job.

5) Troubleshoot equipment issues and adjust processes to maintain production quality and efficiency.

6) Manage multiple projects and personnel during daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production schedules.

Essential Qualifications:

1) Minimum of one year experience in setup, programming, and operation of Swiss CNC lathes, specifically with Star and Tsugami machines.

2) Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and interpreting blueprints and geometric tolerances.

3) Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including speeds and feeds, tool holders, and cutting tools.

4) Demonstrated leadership capabilities, setting a positive example for team members.

General Maintenance Duties:

Responsibilities include material handling, maintaining a clean workspace, and performing machine upkeep as necessary.
