Job Summary

First Tek is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to join our team in Lake Charles, LA. As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft avionics and electrical system components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems related to aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft avionics and electrical system components.
  • Perform aircraft maintenance, repair, modification, installation, and testing tasks.
  • Determine the sequence for installing, removing, maintaining, repairing, or fabricating critical aircraft components.
  • Perform testing, rework, and repair in various fields of specialization.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with 10 years of Aircraft Avionics Experience.
  • Able to perform work in an approved environment during specified work hours.
  • Able to change physical locations based upon need.
  • Able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret DoD clearance.
Preferred Skills
  • E-6B experience.
  • Experience performing new modifications/testing.
  • Experience implementing and/or developing new test procedures.
