OrthoNebraska Surgical Tech Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Tech to join our Surgery team at OrthoNebraska. As a Surgical Tech, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and efficient surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures, adhering to aseptic technique.
  • Perform scrub duties accurately, concisely, and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with a variety of orthopedic surgical procedures, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
  • Identify and secure supplies and equipment in the department.
  • Communicate effectively to achieve desired outcomes and promote teamwork.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited technical program or previous on-the-job training in surgical technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Previous surgical experience preferred.
Physical Demands:

This position is classified as Medium Work, requiring the exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
