Certified Athletic Trainer, FT, Evenings

Prisma Health is seeking a highly skilled Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our Sports Medicine department, you will work under the supervision of our Sports Medicine Medical Director and area team physician to provide top-notch athletic training services to our athletes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide athletic training services to athletes at appointed high schools and other assigned sites, utilizing sound and up-to-date clinical techniques to assess and treat injuries.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, considering the athlete's age, education level, cultural background, and other relevant factors.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, rehab staff, parents, athletic directors, coaches, and strength coaches to ensure seamless care.
- Document athlete status in our electronic medical record system and provide timely payroll information.
- Supervise and mentor new team members, graduate assistants, and students.
- Represent Prisma Health as an outreach team member, attending coaches' and parents' meetings as available.
- Provide athletic training services at sponsored sporting events.
- Actively seek related tasks during downtime and perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with all policies regarding healthcare delivery.
- Assist with management of infection risks and protocols in athletics, following DHEC and district guidelines.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Exercise Physiology, Athletic Training, or Physical Education with an Athletic Training emphasis.
- Certified Athletic Trainer in the State of South Carolina (obtained within 45 days of hire).
- Valid driver's license, acceptable three-year motor vehicle record, and certificate of auto insurance.
- DHEC-State of South Carolina certification.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position working evening shifts at our Patewood Outpatient Center/Med Offices location.
