Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients recovering from surgery, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring patient needs are met and exceeded.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to address them.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or similar setting.
  • Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
  • EPIC experience and level 1 trauma center experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
