Overview:

We aim to address the multifaceted challenges of opioid use disorder, promoting long-term recovery and enhancing the quality of life for our patients.

Position Summary:
The Medical Director will oversee one or more narcotic treatment programs (NTP) as designated by BayMark. This role involves direct patient care, medical assessments, and establishing appropriate dosing levels, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Medical Director will also be responsible for training and supervising physician extenders, delivering healthcare services under the guidance of the CEO and Medical Director OTP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews, manage, train, and evaluate physician extenders.
  • Implement and uphold medical policies, procedures, and training protocols.
  • Assist in the development of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Support the completion of regulatory applications, permits, and inspections.
  • Engage with key regulatory personnel and accrediting bodies as necessary.
  • Provide reports and data to the CEO / Medical Director OTP as requested.

Patient Care Responsibilities:

  • Plan and supervise treatment provisions for patients, ensuring adherence to established guidelines with a focus on quality and customer service.
  • Review and sign patient records and treatment notes.
  • Oversee care provided by physician extenders, including chart reviews and dosing adjustments.
  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and document health histories.
  • Initiate, modify, and terminate replacement narcotic therapy as per established protocols.
  • Supervise medication administration and dispensing.
  • Provide patient education on various health conditions within our scope of practice.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, and company information.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in any medical specialty.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in Addiction or Primary Care.
  • Current state medical license.
  • Ability to prescribe methadone and buprenorphine.
  • Knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment is preferred.
  • Successful completion of a drug screening and background check.
