About the RoleAs an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our 18-bed unit. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient. Your primary function will be to educate and instruct patients and their families on various aspects of care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Administer medications utilizing the 5 rights to medication administration
- Monitor and record patient vital signs
- Coordinate unit activities and ensure accountability of assigned tasks
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- One year of experience in Emergency Services
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ACLS, PALS, and CPI certification within six months of hire
