Job Description and Duties

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investigator to join our team at the Department of Insurance. As an Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting complex investigations of insurance fraud and white-collar crime.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations of insurance fraud and white-collar crime, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
  • Develop and implement investigative strategies to identify and prosecute individuals and organizations involved in insurance fraud and white-collar crime.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to share intelligence and best practices.
  • Prepare and present cases to prosecutors and judges, providing expert testimony as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing laws and regulations related to insurance fraud and white-collar crime.

Requirements:

  • Must have a strong background in law enforcement or a related field.
  • Must have excellent investigative and analytical skills.
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to travel frequently, including overnight stays.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to work in a law enforcement environment that includes the presence of firearms.
  • Must be able to qualify and carry a firearm.
  • Must be able to work in a high-rise building.

Special Requirements:

  • The position requires a Background Investigation clearance prior to being hired.
  • The position requires Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
  • The position requires Psychological Evaluation clearance prior to being hired.
