Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician III to join our team at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. As a key member of our anesthesia department, you will provide critical support to anesthesiologists and CRNAs during patient care, ensuring the highest level of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist anesthesiologists and CRNAs with patient induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
  • Set up and maintain equipment and supplies necessary for anesthesia care.
  • Apply principles of infection control and safety, including proper handling, cleaning, and sterilizing of equipment and supplies.
  • Perform standard procedural checks on equipment and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Ensure workroom areas are clean and orderly before, during, and after each shift.
  • Recommends changes in supplies and equipment through the anesthesia department.
  • Assists with preventive maintenance programs and maintenance of records.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from an accredited program in Anesthesiology Technology or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification.
Preferred Criteria
  • Two to three years of experience as an anesthesia technician.
